That’s my favorite greeting these days.

I shouldn’t be blogging anymore since I do spend a lot of time online, thanks to my day job. On top of my personal Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest accounts, I also manage several social networking accounts for the company I work for.

I also have two secret blogs. One is my private diary (for my eyes only!) and the other chronicles a part of my life that I’m in the process of straightening out and cleaning up. So why start another blog, which is a lot more public?

One, I’d like to practice my writing a little bit more. I do write a lot for school but it can be a real drag if it’s almost always academic writing. I also write a few articles for work and that still feels like a responsibility. Once in a while, I want to write for fun.

Second, I want to reserve my name in Blogger. I don’t want someone to cybersquat and use my name without my permission.

Third, I just want to have fun (oh, I already mentioned that the first time!). It would be nice to look back and see what foolishness I wrote about my life. The assumption though is that I would be able to keep at it for a long time.

So, let’s see how it goes!
